HOLY COW#baptism

Xholy cow! this has been crazy! this is the last P-day of the transfer! i hope everyone is ready for some change! It is fun to see how fast time goes, and it only ever gets faster! We have had a great adventure lately! tons of miracles because God lives and loves us!

We had zhong heng（忠恆） get baptized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this week we are coming off of temple day so that expalins a little of the strange set up of emails! and i only have like 4 days to cover, but i can share this story with you.

There once was a ward, known as TuCheng, they had some really good people, and so one day the missionaries decided "let us feed these people with the true goodness" IE-waffles. So they called the mission president and borrowed a nice waffle maker, they made the preparations for nearly a month, this in joint with a follow up activity right after of course. They invited many people, and the day arrived, yesterday in fact, with church ending at 5pm the activity starting at 6pm and well over 40 hungry people there, the mess began bacon in the pan, pre-cooked pancakes and sausage(they were actually just hot dogs soaked in bacon greese) in the oven, eggs being whipped for scrambling, and the largest of bowls for waffle batter, constantly being added to from a smaller bowl! With the taiwanese at their backs, fruit being washed, the missionaries worked, and within an hour the feast began, everyone attacked the delicious food like wolves on a sheep. The missionaries just kept cooking! after a while the feasting slowed. Then they were gathered to the chapel area for the following activities, with tummies full, and hearts enflamed. The sisters began to help some right testimonies in the Book of Mormon, a volunteer member helped make posters, while the Elders trained on how to do a proper Dan Jones. For on the coming of Friday we shall use all that we prepared! The crowd was crazed, members intranced, and the investigators in love!

And that my friends is the story of why i slept so well last night, it also set quite the fire below our members! They are ready to go and looking forward to this friday night, when THE MEMBERS TAKE ON THE STREET PEOPLE!!!!!!! you can just imagine that in your best fight night voice.

Any way great week! we loved it i want to simply say, Prayer works, because we literally talk with God not just to him, He talks back! He listens and answers. He prepares all that we need. We need only work for it and ask him. He will give all that we need. If you ever feel you are talking to a wall, get out of a routine, try something new, actually think on what you are saying. ponder as you pray give time for him to talk back, and prepare yourself to act and recieve ANY answer.

This week has been quite the week! It begins a little like this, I'm tired and ends a little like this I'm tired in the middle goes like this How can we not be tired?

Needless to say for some reason Me and Elder Puzey just had a week where it was incredibly hard to wake up! however we did and it was super good! We had a ton of fun this week!

We had some really cool miracles quick story i wpould like to share, once upon a time we set up our investigator for a baptismal interview, and after passing the interview he was filling out a form, and uponing filling the form we found his whole address. Which the District Leader saw and felt oddly familiar about a wuick search of the maps we found that this now completely ready and completed lessons guy doesn't live in our area, there is a little past of a place called 樹林 SHULIN which falls under their wards boundaries, a silly curve of the map but a curve none the less. We felt like idiots but decided the best way to handle is we teaach and just use their members to take care of him, and then now he knows the other Elders he can just do RC lessons luckily their ward is great and took care of aall the other details like the baptismal service and stuff. #i love it

we had some beautiful views here lately cuz we have been running back and forth across the river to and from 樹林SHULIN We have had a crazy week at first we were a little worried about last week, but some how we found a way by the grace of god to fill our days with stuff to do, and we have been seeing so many miracles around us in helping us continue to keepo our area. I have found a big piece of why i am here is to teach me humility in all things. Because i have realized lately that i just need more of that, i pray daily for it, and repent daily of pride. It feels great!

Miracles Roll

Well in and out, the work is continuing to pickup and build around 土城 it has been a riot this whole week. Running from place to place trying to get everything done! We have some really cool investigators working right now! I would like to tell you specifically about 忠恆(zhong heng) he is a champion! he is a college student, recently crashed his scooter and has been progressing very quickly through the missionaries favorite lesson #4 We sat down to share a little about the most commonly trouble commandment (word of wisdom) cuz EVERYONE drinks tea. But after we taught him he was like.......... "thats gonna be hard"............"i'll do it" #i love that guy!

I will be honest i am typing on a really stupid keyboard and im loosing patience really quickly. So imma be shoprt this week.

We saw a ton of miracles Because Heavenly Father lives, and loves us all, and has been blessing us like crazy lately! And i have been growing much more in knowlkedge of our Savior's power by way of expeirence and repentence. I have been focusing on becoming all that i need to be before i invite my investigators to do things. i have been trying to experience everything they do so that wheni invite they can feel the power of my testimony by way of expeirnce. 

I know God lives, in heaven, and loves us; not only that he has given us all a plan in life to have joy and success, known as gospel. This is able to help all people especially when applied as a family. These things are given to us by his Holy Prophets, and all they say and do in the name of the Lord will or has come true. They all have born powerful testimony of Christ because he literally lived and died for us, and now has resurrected and continues to take our trials and weaknesses from us. He has restored his lost gospel by Joseph Smith, because he knows we need his gospel, and hates darkness and confusion. And now it is in our hands to act and to find out about it through study and prayer. I promise that if you do you will feel a new level of joy and peace come into your life, no matter who or where you are. whether or not you grew up in the church, whether or not you are happy now, it will change everything, and bring you to a new level no matter how many times you hear and do it.

定嘉！！！！！！！！！

定嘉(dingjia) is baptized!!!!! I had the amazing privilege this saturday of returning to my old chapel(新店碧潭） and assisting in my good friend ding jia being baptized. He is the best guy ever. When i returned everyone was happy as can be! So let me introduce定嘉(dingjia) he is a 9year old kid, who is curious and incredibly caring. He has a very small little brother, and his mom 維平(weiping) was struggling for a long time to come to church. Well our awesome ward start to help her, and then she asked us to help her son. He quickly became one of my good friends. He is also one of the best people i've taught, because he listened and learned everytime! Not only that he had a desire to learn more about our church!

Part two about baptism this week, it is my first RC in taiwan's year mark on the 7/2. And i had the great chance to see her last night at the fireside for taipei! She is so awesome! and is doing great happy anniversery 程月份Joyce!週年快樂！！！！！！ We talked a little bit, she is still woing well!!!


This week has been a ton of fun, we have gone on two exchanges one with the 新埔 elders, Elder Jorgensen was my companion for a short time, he is a champion youngish missionary and a great heart and desire to work. He and I had a lot of fun together simply because we got up and did. We also had exchanges with 三峽 elders; Which i had Elder Cooper in the mix for a day! he is such an awesome guy! And that was a really fun time too! because we came back from the amazing zone conference, and felt reaqdy to ruuuuuumble, and we did. We parked the bikes and walked to a lesson a little ways away, and along the way just talked with everyone, it was a very successful night, we even ran into a guy waiting for his friend who offered to take us back to his house and teach him a lesson right there. unfortunately we were headed to a lesson and were unable to and then he simply said well i guess fate will give us another chance so he didn't give a phone number... But 2 minutes later we ran into the guy's friend! It was pretty funny! We directed him to his friend, and he was grateful, but also didn't give us a shot.

Last week we had a great P-day hiking a super crazy fun hike, and nearly dying, so we biked an hour through the cloudless sky in the summer, get to this hike, which My companion has jiked 2 times and never could finish, so we set the goal to finish it. Well at the top of the hike, we hadn't eaten much, drank all the water, and we shot. So we ran the roughly 45-1hr down a quicker less fun path, and laid at an 阿媽shop for about 20 minutes sipping on a supao before a nice hour ride home. We decided that was the most we ever had sweat. Our basketball shorts, were dripping sweat, they were past saturation dude, it was dope, and we felt good all week

Alright i have had an insane week! I would like to begin by saying God is good and when we do what he asks and work our hardest things work out. We were having a few struggles trying to get people to set up this week, and we went into Sunday with no people set up to meet, and only 1 new person set as a new investigator, but We began our nights sleep on Saturday with a comp prayer to make the goal of the mission. We prayed again that morning and then did everything we could to make it.Well we got a call that morning at like 11am that there was a random dude at the other ward, and he lives in our area. We needed to come now and bring  BOM. We show up and it is this dope dude named charley許, not only that we also saw a mom we contacted that week twice at church there! Then when it came time for our church we had a former guy come to church a guy ironcially Elder Facer taught named Dino. We ended the day hitting our goal.

This week has been fun we have had exchanges and meetings to attend this week so we have not had the most time in our area, and it has been sunny with no clouds lately. So it has been quite the week for sweating! Especially when saturday came, It actually happened to be a really fun day! so we had 4 people stand us up, so we went over across the river to 樹林shulin. And spent a whole afternoon rolling aroudnt he area contacting the streets! We named one part of it Godricks Hollow, cuz the whole part just doesn't feel right, and just strange, and so when we want to go there we just know it as Godrick's Hollow. But it was actually a really good day especially for being outside in the least useful time. 

But after that we ate with Daniel 賴 and his girlfriend. Daniel is a struggling member about 18 or 19. he is super cool ,and had a lot of questions to ask us. which was really awesome his girlfriend wasn't too interested but she has met missionaries before. But we helped him solve a lot of problems he was struggling with. He is super dope guy, just needs some encouragement. 

Other than that it has been a ton of fun with Elder Puzey, he is a great guy, and is working hard, andkilling it! Love this place.

Elder Conover

The heritage

just so you all know i have moved into Tu Cheng土城 which just so happens to be my papa's last area. It is like a family inheritance*winky face to Elder Gibson in 中壢* It has been quite the full last couple of days. All topped off with a great new ward!

So lets get started we had the chance in BiTan碧潭 to go and visit the 周 family right before i left the day before actually, and they are still just so amazing a couple of aboriginals in the mountains of 烏來 they are so funny! we had the chance to say good bye, they will be great! Also that same day i would like to share another crazy miracle! this week was full of them.

So the day before meaning tuesday night we had gone knocking in a place we call the pocahantes corner, you know cuz its "just around the river bend" And the first doorbell buzzer thing we rang the guys says i am busy not right now(never heard that one before) so we ask if we can come back the next day(wednesday) and he says 好好好(sure sure sure) and we say 4pm the next day. Well we show up at that time, he actually lets us in!!!! not only that he was such a sick guy! he literally explained that he didn't like his family tradition of buddhism and wanted to start learning christian stuff but never knew how, then we knocked on his door!

Also another miracle that i was only half part of, we set up a member who came from arizona to visit family back here(she is taiwanese) and she said her little bro wanted a BOM and Bible in chinese, we were happy to help, then she asked to come meet him, well the DAY AFTER I LEFT i was on the phone with Elder Lin(林) and he says he was incredible too!!!!!!!!!!!

The miracles are already rolling over here in this area too, we have been putting in some good work and finding some really cool people. We have a dope warad they are all a bunch of love-able people. And they are excited to do work, so i hope we can really blow it up together!

My new companion is a great man by the name of Elder Puzey. He graduated with me, however he goes home in the next two months, he is an idaho boy and is 帥 as you can get! He is a diligenty hard working missionary and he loves the work. So we are gonna have a ton of fun together!

Summer inbound

alright well summer has arrived as a result whether or not you are moving or standing, or in shade or sun, you sweat to freaking death, now is the time where you could stand outside and not do a single thing and feel good because you lost weight through sweating, and you turn the AC onto like 17 degrees but it really only gets to like 23. Man i am freaking pumped!!!!!!!!!

Also part two of this email, I FOUND A SWORD SHOP its like 2 minutes from our house and they have some of the dopest things you could ever find, including a super dope full handel and bladed sword. As well as a remake elven blade from lord of the rings. and they also sell rubber kniives.... just saying, its dope.

So this week we had some crazy miracles go down! #1 we are walking around on the streets and we find a place to sit and to do some studies outside in a park. And backround a few days before we saw this dude with 2 huge dogs walking around and elder Lin wanted to talk to him, b ut we had to get going. so we sit down and barely get started the guy walks by, and Elder Lin says' i have to ttalk to that guy, should we do it? and im shoving stuff in my bag and saying yeah what are you waiting for!" We talk to him and turns out, he is an old investigator (rich or 張瑞麟 zhang rui ling) from beitou (my first area) and he had been reffered over to us, but never answered the phone. Well we set up with him for the next day!!!!!#2 that same night we were walking around talk ing to people and we got a call from a possible investigator we met a long time ago and they had never had time to meet, well she set up with us that night, we go and meet with her, and after ther lesson, she told us that my dope companion during the prayer and the lesson said everything she needed help with. So she was very interested to meet with us again.

I have been reading in Alma of late, the war chapters. I personally wuite enjoy them and learn much especially from moroni and pahoran. In chapters 60-62 moroni sends an epistle(A LETTER)  pahoran because of the neglect(lack of care) shown to him and the armies, and also helaman and his armies. and moroni more or less roats pahoran and tells him to "be up and doing" or he "will come speedily unto him" and that means he is gonna wreck anyone that says against freedom. Well after getting a pretty straight forward epislte(LETTER) FROM moroni, pahoran humbly accpets the correction, and informs him of the problems that happened(he got chased away by an overthrow and some people took control of the city) he accpeted it and actually rejoiced in it, because it showed the heart of moroni, and gave him some needed direction. 

Elder Christopherson(?) taught us that we should humbly accept and even seek the corrections of the Lord, and that we should rejoice in them, for "whosoever the Lord loveth he correcteth" i have had a great cahnce lately to do so, i have been working the past nearly 30 days to take any thought behavior and missed opportunity and getting rid of it by repentence and by changing, and i have felt the promise of Ether 12:27 come true as i come closer to god i feel weaker and weaker, but i have felt his strength in supporting me. I would like to tell you all he is real and is living and watching us. He has great hopes and plans for us all. Seek him, and ask his help in becoming who you can!
